WildSide trail travel Info...
Trail Access: To access this trail, you need to take a 30 minute boat ride, a 10 minute seaplane jaunt or a scenic kayak paddle from Tofino to the First Nation village of Ahousaht. Catch the 10:30 am & 4:00 pm scheduled water taxi for about $20 at First Street Dock. Please email the trail office for more information infowildsidetrail@gmail.com
Accommodation in Ahousaht: There are options for paid lodging in Ahousaht. There is a new lodge and a bed and breakfast, please email the trail office at infowildsidetrail@gmail.com and we can help.

Drinking Water: As with any area, filtering or treating water before drinking is highly recommended. Please note there is limited natural drinking water available on the entire route. The most reliable natural source of water is at the southern end of Cow Bay.

Tofino Bus: Bus service to and from Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo and Comox / Courtenay.

Water taxis and charter boats to Ahousaht: Daily service between Ahousaht (Flores Island) and Tofino
Departs twice daily from Tofino at approx. 10:30 am & 4 pm ~ Departs twice daily from Ahousaht at approx. 8:30 am & 1 pm, leaves Tofino from the 1st Street Dock (boats change daily).
Many charter boats are available. Please call the office at 250-725-2169 or email infowildsidetrail@gmail.com to assist. The office is also available to assist you with charters to the beaches for those wishing a beach drop-off.

There are three efficient ways to get to Vancouver Island from the Vancouver with BC Ferries. The best way depends on where, in Vancouver, you are closest to, and whether or not you wish to visit Victoria, BC on your way to Tofino.
Traveling direct to Tofino from the Vancouver Airport, Seattle or other places south 
Take the Tsawwassen ferry (south of Vancouver) to Duke Point (south of Nanaimo)
Traveling direct to Tofino from downtown Vancouver
Take the Horseshoe Bay ferry (north or west Vancouver) to Departure Bay (downtown Nanaimo)
Visiting Victoria, BC on your way to Tofino
Take the Tsawwassen ferry (south of Vancouver) to Schwartz Bay (north of Victoria)
Traveling by car: Please be sure to map out your route with Google maps or mapquest.
